This evening, your guests will be collected by comfortable coach and your private logistics guide will greet everyone onboard, explaining the night’s activities. Arrive first to the "Solar do Vinho do Porto" in Lisbon, right in the heart of one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of the city in the Bairro Alto. Begin your VIP port wine tasting with a magnificent sabre presentation (a tradition that dates back to Napoleonic times in Champagne when the soldiers would ceremoniously open the champagne bottles with a sword). This is an impressive and fun beginning to a great night! You'll enjoy a fun and informative Port Wine tasting given by a top sommelier (in English) and taste various styles (White Port, Ruby, Late bottled vintage, Vintage, etc), and pair these ports with various cheeses, almonds and walnuts, and sweet desserts.
Carry on to your gala dinner in a private room in a beautiful palace overlooking Lisbon’s harbor. You’ll have great views from the veranda before sitting down to dinner. Your dining room is covered in historic blue and white tilework (called “Azulejos”), antiques and classic paintings. You’ll sit down to a three course wonderful dinner in a refined setting, illuminated by candle light. At the end of the evening, the sommelier will make a toast to your special occasion, and guests will be presented with a gift bottle of great wine, personalized with a note thanking them for attending your event. Your coach will take guests back to their hotel at the end of the evening.
