Flavors of the Alentejo:
A unique corporate excursion from Lisbon is to the
Alentejo wine country,
approximately 2 hours east in the lovely, romantic castle studded hills.
For mid to large sized groups we can organize special VIP Luxury Food and Wine day trips to include a private wine farm visit, vineyard walk, tour
of the estate with the owner, and even a gourmet lunch served right in the
cellars (or outside in fine weather). To add a dash of culture, we will
also include a visit to Evora, one of Portugal's most beautiful villages.
This corporate event is great for team building, and we can organize fun
activities such as "blind tasting" and "wine workshops". The day consists
of great scenery, fine food and wine and we believe it is the perfect
type of event to build camaraderie within companies.
In Lisbon, you will be collected from your hotel, by luxury coach, and will head
east towards to historic village of Reguengos de Monsaraz. The scenery enroute is
magical. Your first half of the day will be spent relaxing on a famous wine farm
(dating back 700 years), enjoying the sunshine, tasting wines and indulging in
delicious regional Alentejo cuisine. After a relaxing and interesting morning
sipping wine, you'll head towards the lovely Roman city of Evora. Evora has preserved
some monumental architecture including the Roman Temple of Diana (from the 1st century)
and an array of 12th and 13th century churches and monasteries. You can enjoy a coffee
of digestif in the main square or simply enjoy a walk about in this old village.
The drive back will be through pretty landscapes covered in cork trees and tiny
white washed villages. You'll be back in Lisbon for early evening, dropped off
right at your hotel. This is a wonderful day out for corporate groups looking
for a relaxing activity and day excursion from Lisbon.
