Here at Cellar Tours, our specialty is wine and we offer many different types of wine tastings and wine events in Barcelona. Perhaps our most unique activity for corporate groups, apart from our spectacular flying wine tours, is our Wine Blending Masterclass. This takes place at one of the most prestigious wine estates in the Penedès and is a fun and convivial team building experience. For this VIP wine event we can take groups as small as six and as large as twenty, and the guests will spend a half day in the wine country. Over the course of the morning, they will learn all about basic winemaking and they will actually blend wines and create their own “Coupage”. We can customize the wine labels with your company logo to make a keepsake gift bottle for your guests. Barcelona Wine Tastings

10AM Your charming English speaking logistics guide will meet your group in reception of your hotel (or other pick up point) and you will travel south into the Mediterranean wine region of Penedés, by luxury coach. Arrive to a stylish wine cellar, in fact one of the region’s most high end estates known for its top red wines made with Bordeaux grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Today you will become a veritable winemaker! You will begin with a tour of the vineyards, barrel cave and installations, before your interactive class. You will then begin to taste different single varietals of wine such as Syrah, Grenache (called “Garnacha”), etc. Under the supervision of the estate’s winemaker, you will then begin a master blending class, and make your own wine! He will guide you through this exciting class and you will create your own your own unique blend to be put in a keepsake bottle with commemorative label included (customized to your company name or preferences).

1:30PM After all this hard work, you will enjoy an unforgettable wine lunch in one of the most charming wine country restaurants in Spain. Enjoy fabulous local dishes like Queso Torta de la Serena (Sheep´s Cheese), Xato (traditional salad form Tarragona province, dressed in a nutty oil), Escalivada de pimiento y berenjena asado (Roast aubergine and Peppers in oilve oil), Alcachofas a la brasa (the restaurant’s mythical roast artichokes), Pato con Ciruelas y Piñones (Duck prepared with plums and pine nuts) and Crema Catalana (Barcelona’s ubiquitous local dessert, a Catalan version of Crème Brulèe). You´ll nejoy sparkling Cava wines and a rich local red.

3:30PM Transfer back to Barcelona, and your group will be dropped off at your preferred location. This concludes a truly memorable day out in the wine country, hope your guests had fun!
