Are you are looking for an original and fun evening to entertain your guests while in Madrid?

This is a wonderful evening excursion from Madrid, which works as dinner (or lunch) and entertainment. You will enjoy a tour of a historic village, have an aperitif in the “bat caves” and indulge in a superb wine tasting followed by traditional Spanish dinner in historic venue.

Your comfortable coach and friendly bilingual guide will meet you at your Madrid hotel. You will leave the hustle and bustle of Madrid and travel about 45 minutes into the countryside to the wine caves...

The village where your group will be spending a wonderful evening is tiny and full of noble mansions, with their coats of arms. There are quaint palaces with inviting courtyards and galleries resting on Doric and Ionic columns. All in all, a nice base for your evening excursion out of Madrid.

You will begin with a short walking tour with a very dynamic local guide. She has the keys that open the 15th century convent, the historic theatre and various private caves that crisscross beneath the village. After a short but very entertaining tour, you will carry on to your venue for the wine tasting and dinner- the bat caves! You will have a sparkling aperitif in a 1000 year old cave to begin.

Borja, our charming sommelier, will then guide your group on a fun and educational wine tasting of 4 top Spanish wines including “Reservas” from classic regions such as Ribera del Duero and La Rioja. But first, begin with a crisp white from Spain’s exciting Rueda wine region, made with the very appealing Verdejo grape.

Your dinner which follows will be very traditional with wonderful roast lamb, cured cheeses from La Mancha, air dried ham (melts in your mouth), sauteéd artichokes and more. Needless to say, fine wines will accompany your convivial meal. After dinner, you´ll enjoy the local digestif (similar to Italian limocello) called “Limoncillo”, a lemon firewater. After dinner, you will return to Madrid, but not before receiving a gift to remember this special evening.
