After your morning of fresh air and history, you’ll arrive to the Prado Museum, one of the world’s great art museums. Built in the late 1700's under Charles III (Carlos Tercero) The spectacular Prado Museum houses a simply massive art collection including: Velazquez, Goya, Bosch, Tiziano, Rubens, Brueghel, Fra Angelico, El Greco, Zurbaran, Botticelli and Caravaggio. You could spend an entire day here and not see one tenth of the tremendous collection! Your art guide will give lead you through the museum and explain various famous paintings in an entertaining and memorable way such as "Las Meninas" and "The Triumph of Bacchus" by Velazquez, "The Clothed and Nude Maja", "The Third of May, 1808" and "The Wine Harvest" by Goya, and the utterly bizarre and wonderful "Garden of Delights" and "Adoration of the Magi" by Hieronymous Bosch.
After all this culture, you will appreciate a great meal! You will carry on to a wonderful restaurant for a full lunch of various courses paired with sublime wines, to enjoy with your guide. You´ll taste an assortment of Spanish tapas such as acorn fed cured Bellota ham (heaven on earth), Spicy Padron peppers from Galicia, and farmhouse cheeses. Your main course could be succulent Spanish beef, suckling pig or perhaps simple and delicious sea bass.
