You'll fly into Milan and out of Rome to minimize excess driving, and on this special tour you will visit the exquisite wine regions of Piedmont, Tuscany, and Franciacorta. There are a few days of relaxing on the Amalfi Coast as well. Visit medieval villages and castles trapped in time. Dine at some of Italy's most famous restaurants (and some "undiscovered" gems). Be received like royalty at some of the finest Italian wine estates. Sleep in extremely romantic country villas and elegant Relais Chateaux in pristine wine country. This really is the good life!

In Piedmont, you'll sleep at the "Slow Food" Villa hotel and you'll taste top wines from Barolo, Barbaresco, Dolcetto, Barbera and Gavi. On your VIP winery visits you'll even receive some complementary wine gifts, signed by the winemakers themselves, for you to bring back from your honeymoon as a memoir. The highly praised sparkling wines of Franciacorta and the Super Tuscans of the Maremma (Sassicaia, Ornellaia, etc) are also highlights on this luxury wine tour. Other unforgettable moments will be a unique cooking class on the stunning Amalfi Coast and a visit to the amazing Roman city of Pompei, with its Mosaics and Frescos. AM- Arrive to Milan airport. You will be collected by your English-speaking driver, luxury Mercedes and your bilingual specialized wine guide. Let the tour begin! Transfer to the famed wine region of Piemonte (about 2 ½ hr drive). The next few days will be spent sipping Barolo, Barbaresco, eating risotto and truffles, and enjoying the scenery and idyllic wine villages, castles and wineries.

Check into the unique Slow Food hotel, located in a beautiful villa, welcome aperitif (Champagne or Campari Fizz). Benvenuti!

First VIP winery visit, the tiny winery run by Father/son team at one of Barbaresco's most esteemed estates. Visit, tasting and light lunch. Next visit the historic village of Barbaresco itself, very quaint, followed by a tour of Alba (home to the famed white truffle).

Full Dinner in Alba at a hole in the wall, fabulous little wine bar and ristorante. Wine included, the elegant wines of Piemonte await! Overnight at fabulous little Slow Food Hotel in Pollenzo.

10:30AM- Check out hotel. Transfer to the cute wine village of Verduno, Barbera and Barolo country. VIP Winery Visit, tasting and light lunch at historic estate with the 5th generation young winemaker. Walk around the tiny charming village of Verduno, and enjoy aperitif with the winemaker, Vittore. Visit a 17th cent. deconsecrated church, now an art gallery, where Valerio the painter has his studio, if he's in town. Otherwise, a walk around the village.

Second winery visit to a prestigious Dolcetto producer located in 17th century monk's cellars, in Rodello. Vineyard walk with the charming owner and fantastic Dolcetto wine tasting.

Next, you will visit the gorgeous castles of Barolo and Grinzane Cavour, including the wine museum. Return to hotel for rest.

Gourmet Feast at nearby traditional "Ristorante", aperitif included, as well as some fabulous wine.

Transfer to the sub wine region of Gavi (about 1 hour drive). VIP Visit at Villa Sparina winery in Gavi, Piemonte's most elegant wine made with the Cortese grape. Excellent gastronomic lunch with wine at La Gallina in Gavi, on the terrace in good weather.

After a superb wine tasting and lunch, you'll be swept away to the hidden wine region of Franciacorta where you will be staying in a gorgeous Relais Chateaux hotel located in a historic villa, amid scenic vineyards.

Dinner- You'll dine out tonight at a tradiitonal and very cozy Trattoria in the nearby village of Rovato. Wine not included, as half of the experience here is descending into the cellar and selecting your bottle yourself, sommelier on hand to give suggestions. Great fun, this is a lively restaurant.

11AM - VIP Winery visit, tasting and light lunch at Contadi Castaldi, one of the prettiest wineries in Franciacorta and famed for its "Saten" sparkling wine, delicious. Also on offer, the interesting still white and red wines of Contadi and other sparklers. You'll see the tiny experimental vineyard with over a dozen varietals.

3-4PM - Afternoon visit to the most famous winery of the Franciacorta region. Visit the cellars, full of the wooden pyramid " Pupitres ", and finish with a sparkling toast to Franciacorta!

Afternoon- at your leisure (spa, sightseeing, etc). Your driver is on hand to take you where you like.

Dinner tonight will be the farewell one with your guide, and you'll enjoy a wonderful Taster Menu , executed by one of Italy's most famous chefs, Guiltiero Marchesi. Unforgettable. This is a serious highlight on the tour.

9AM- Transfer south into fabulous Tuscany! You'll be tasting Super Tuscans for the next few days in the beautiful, coastal Maremma (about 4 hour drive) and sleeping like a King and Queen. Today, on the way towards the Maremma, you'll have the chance to stop in Siena, one of the most exquisite cities in Italy. Your driver is on hand to make other stops if you like, too, for example to Florence.

Afternoon- Drive to Siena from Franciacorta (approx 3 ½ hr). Spend a glorious day in Siena, enjoy lunch there in a typical trattoria and take in this splendid city, enjoying the museums, small shops, narrow streets, etc. Transfer to luxury hotel (1 hr drive), for approx arrival at 8PM.

Tonight, you arrive to a magnificent, palatial hotel. Dinner on your own to enjoy at the famed restaurant, launched by Alain Ducasse, or taxi to the cute fishing village of Castiglione della Pescaia. Welcome to the untouched Maremma!

Today, you will enjoy Maremma's famed Super Tuscan wines to the fullest. To begin, you'll visit the marvellous winery of Sassicaia, one of the mythical wines of the world. Continue sipping the wine during another VIP winery visit to Petra (Super Tuscan, in gorgeous winery designed by Mario Botta).

Lunch will be in the cute wine village of Suvereto at a pretty, historic restaurant (reservation only). After lunch, you'll have free time and a driver to go sightseeing in the Maremma. You can visit the unique village of Pitigliano (completely carved out of rock), enjoy the glorious beaches and swish resort of Monte Argentario, visit another cellar, there are dozens in the area or visit the Natural Park of the Maremma.

Today you'll have a long but beautiful drive from Southern Tuscany to the Amalfi Coast. Your destination? One of Italy's most utterly romantic coastlines- the southern region of the Costa Amalfitana, near Naples. The drive is approx 6 hours, and you can stop halfway in Rome for lunch, now that's decadent!

Late afternoon, you'll arrive to the lovely village of Massa Lubrense to your quaint 4* Gourmet Hotel. This establishment has one of the most famous restaurants in the area and is beautifully situated on the Amalfi Coast.

Dinner on your own, we recommend the hotel!

In the morning, your private boat and captain will collect you just in front of the hotel in the little cove for an unforgettable boat ride to Capri, to the Blue Grotto. Spend the day on this island, known for its jetsetters and visiting movie stars. Shop, eat and enjoy a "passegiatta" along the picture perfect sea. Enjoy wine with lunch; you're not driving!

Your driver will be waiting for you back on the peninsula and you can visit Naples if you like, visit another village like Amalfi town or transfer back to your hotel where you can relax or go for a walk in the beautiful village.

In the afternoon, your driver will take you to the most beautiful villages of the Amalfi coast- Amalfi, and Ravello, finishing in the spectacular village of Positano.

Tonight is a treat. The 5* Il San Pietro, one of Italy's most famous hotels (for the amazing views and historic building) is yours tonight. We will organize a bottle of bubbly (or red wine if you prefer) to be waiting for you in your superior room. Enjoy!

Enjoy the morning in your romantic hotel, have a late breakfast and take in the views of the crystal clear sea.

Transfer to the Roman city of Pompei. The Villa of the Mysteries contains some of the most beautiful frescoes at Pompeii and you can enter the site on your own, have a wander. The town of Pompei was buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79, and completely preserved, mosaics and all.

A Reservation will be made for you at the prestigious Il Principe, Pompei, one of Italy's most famous restaurants.

In the afternoon, you can stop to see more Roman ruins in Ercolano (Herculeum) or you can visit Naples, before transferring in the late evening to Rome airport (about 2 ½ hour drive from Naples. Overnight in Rome Fiumicino.
