Morning: Your elegant chauffeur and luxury Mercedes will arrive at your hotel in Ravello, and you will be swept away to Campania’s wine country. You will head east from the Amalfi Coast into the Salerno wine region.
Arrive at the first fine wine estate of the day, such as Montevetrano, one of the loveliest and most acclaimed wineries in Southern Italy. This boutique winery entered the international spotlight when Robert Parker dubbed it the “Sassicaia of the south.” Silvia Imparato, the winery owner, hired oenologist Riccardo Cotarella to rebuild her family’s vineyards on a historic plot that once belonged to the Bourbon monarchy. The first vintage was only produced in the early 1990s, and it took the wine world by storm. The flagship Montevetrano is made with 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Aglianico and 10% Merlot.
On a private tour, enjoy a walk through the lush vineyards, tour the atmospheric cellars, and end with a wine tasting on the porch of the country house.
Lunch: Then on to your Michelin-starred lunch in the nearby village of Eboli. Enjoy a tasting menu lunch, where the dishes might include Smoked Buffalo tartare with quinoa and Buffalo milk blue cheese; Mixed pasta with octopus, potato mousse, olives, smoked tomato, parsley sauce, and chili oil; Guinea fowl medallion with its own homemade ham; Coffee Mousse covered with ruby chocolate with Pistachio and Hazelnuts. Afternoon: Next, visit the organic and biodynamic Casa di Baal, a wine and olive oil producer. You will visit the vineyards and olive groves, the wine cellar, and the olive oil mill, and then taste their best wines. You will also sample the extra virgin olive oil produced on-site, the locally sourced cured meats and local cheeses, and homemade biscuits.
