This is a wonderful luxury tour, perfect for couples, focusing on Wine
and Gourmet dining, Andalucia's historic and most beautiful towns, fantastic accommodation, and on the
famous "Cartujano" horses. You will begin this Luxury Wine Vacation in Málaga where you will be collected by your personal Chauffeur Guide (Mercedes or
similiar) and whisked off to the famous sherry town of El Puerto De Santa Maria, before continuing on to
Jerez. Jerez de la Frontera is famous throughout the world for its dessert wines named after the town,
which 17th century British wine importers mistakenly pronounced "sherry".
It is called "de la Frontera" because it once stood on the "wild west"
frontier between the Moorish and the Christian kingdoms. Jerez is also famous, for its equestrian tradition
and for its famed Flamenco singers and dancers. On this wine tour, we will visit historic wineries in the
famed towns of "The Sherry Triangle"; we'll see the "Dancing Horses" at The Royal Equestrian Riding School;
we'll visit amazing Seville, with its Arab palaces, lush gardens, Jewish Barrio and lovely, narrow streets;
and we'll explore the lovely towns of Carmona and Arcos de la Frontera.
The "Dancing Horses" shows take place in the 1600 seat arena. After a
dramatic introduction, the beautiful music of flamenco guitar fills the air and some ten riders dressed in
18th century traditional costume make their entrance. Then the impressive "equestrian ballet" begins.
Another highlight of this wine tour is our overnight stay in stunning Arcos de la Frontera, Spain's
archetypal "Pueblo Blanco" (Referring to the white villages of Arab origin that dot the Andalusian
countryside). The old quarter is a labyrinth of winding streets that all find their way up to the ruined
castle. Exquisite, luxurious five star accommodation has been selected for this wine tour, staying in a
beautiful aristocratic mansion and an 18th century noble residence. Our gourmet meals range from classic,
more traditional recipes to creative, "haute-cuisine" with some of Spain's most famous chefs. Enjoy this
