Your carriage will drop you and your guide off at the gorgeous Cathedral where you will enjoy an entertaining visit full of anecdotes. Ask your guide about the hanging crocodile! From the cathedral (called “La Giralda”) you´ll enjoy a guided visit to the Reales Alcazares, just next door. This beautiful property houses the wonderful 9th century Moorish Palaces built for the Emir, Abderraman II. You´ll see intricately carved arches, hand painted tiles with Arabic calligraphy and spectacular gardens. Breathe in the jasmine and orange blossoms! Now, after this wonderful morning full of art, history, and sightseeing, you will be famished! Your tour will continue on to a charming tapas bar where a variety of tapas will be organized for you, all paired with sherry wines (from nearby Jerez de la Frontera and Sanlucar de Barrameda). You´ll taste a delicious dry Fino, follow with a nutty Amontillado or Palo Cortado and of course you´ll have to taste a concentrated Pedro Ximenez. You´ll taste a multitude of tapas and pintxos from marinated olives, Spanish cheeses, delicious acorn fed cured ham, crunchy shrimp crepes, baby squid, Saffron infused “albondigas” (meatballs), delicious smoked cod and other surprises.
