In Lisbon, you'll stay in a 17th century converted convent, now a chic small hotel with a beautiful garden terrace. In Northern Portugal, you'll stay at Portugal's most beautiful Relais Chateaux, located on the River Tamega, which flows into the mighty Douro. The restaurant has just won its first Michelin star, and is considered to be one of the best eateries in Portugal at the moment. Wineries normally closed to the general public, will open their doors just for you and you'll receive VIP treatment throughout the tour. - Your chauffeur will collect you from Lisbon airport with a sign reading your name, and you'll be transported by Mercedes to your extremely charming hotel, to check in.

- Your hotel is one of the best-kept secrets in Lisbon, it's stylish and recently renovated, but it breathes history (the hotel is located in a converted 17th century convent) and feels like you have discovered the "secret garden". Breakfast is served al fresco, and you will find this hotel a home away from home.

- Today you will be collected at the door of your hotel by luxury vehicle to drive you to Sintra. On the way you will visit the Queluz Palace, built during the XVIII century. Next stop is the charming and aristocratic village of Sintra (where Lord Byron lived and considered it to be "Paradise in Earth"). The latter part of the morning will be full of castles and lovely walks in Sintra, where you must visit the Palacio da Pena, one of Portugal's most peculiar and beautiful palaces. In a romantic venue facing the Palace, you'll enjoy a wine tasting at the Loja do Vinho. Lunch will be served at the Café de Paris. (included).

- During the afternoon you'll see the best of lovely "Lisboa". You'll take in the 16th century St Jeronimo Monastery and 16th century Belem Tower (built to protect the harbor from pirates), St George's Castle (dating back to the Moors), and the medieval Alfama quarter.

- A special visit to the Solar do Vinho do Porto will be arranged for you, Lisbon's classy, 18th-century Wine Bar. This is one of our favourite wine bars, located in a historic mansion where you can taste hundreds of ports by the glass.

- Today, you will drive to the Douro valley, stopping enroute at a few lovely places. First stop is the beautiful medieval walled city of Óbidos, called the "wedding city". Stroll through the picturesque streets of this whitewashed, red tile-roofed city. Definitely spend at least an hour here, to see the castle, have a coffee, etc. very cute.

- On to Alcobaca Monastery (the largest in Portugal) to visit the 12th century Abbey with the tombs of King Pedro and Ines de Castro. You'll stop for lunch in Nazaré, the most colorful Portuguese fishing village. (lunch on your own).

- Next stop is at the spectacular Batalha Monastery, the most outstanding example of Portuguese "Manueline" (named after King Manuel) architecture in the country. You can take an optional stop: Fátima, site of the shrine and world pilgrimages. Otherwise, transfer to your lovely countryside hotel, a Relais Chateaux small hotel that is a historic nobleman's mansion.

- Your hotel has delightful gardens, sumptuously decorated hotel with elegant lounges (where you can enjoy a glass of wine, brandy, etc). A stay at this beautiful manor house is unforgettable. We recommend you dine in the restaurant of the Relais (it's just received its first Michelin star).

- After breakfast you will be whisked away by your luxury vehicle and English speaking driver to the spectacular Port Lodges of Vila Nova da Gaia. Your driver will give you door-to-door service.

- Your VIP Wine Tour of the Port lodges will take in Ferreira (one of the prettiest wine lodges), Ramos Pinto and Grahams (one of the classic British-Portuguese wine lodges). After your tour of the lodges, you will have free time for lunch in a quaint restaurant along the river, followed by a guided walking tour of Oporto's sites You'll visit the spectacular Stock Exchange, best know for its gilded, golden, decadent Arabic Room. You'll enjoy the narrow streets, the exquisite blue and white Azulejos (tiles), etc.

- Other attractions in Porto include the Church of San Francisco, the two ancient bridges, and the captivating views over the Douro. Evening transfer to your romantic, hidden hotel in the countryside.

- This luxurious and unforgettable tour begins when you are picked up at your hotel by luxury Mercedes and Private Chauffeur. The drive towards the scenic Douro begins, destination Regua. After a marvellous journey, you arrive to your private Rabelo boat in Regua, where you will be thrilled with a I hr 30 minutes cruise towards Pinhão.

- Arrive to the famed Vintage House Hotel, overlooking the mighty Douro with stunning views. Lunch is on your own (not included), although reservations for the best table will be made in your name.

- From Pinhão, you will drive through the Douro Region, taking in magnificent vistas of steep hills covered in vines and the sparkling river reflecting in the sun. You will be treated to a lovely VIP wine tasting at the revered Quinta da Pacheca, in English. The owner's wife will even make you a homemade lunch. This winery is one of our favorites in Portugal.

- The views along the way are absolutely spectacular! Today will be totally dedicated to great wines, delicious cuisine and memorable views. Don't forget the camera! Dinner on your own and this will be your last night at the lovely Relais Chateaux.
