Winery Overview

Ochoa is one of Navarra’s top wineries in terms of quality, value for money, and innovation. It remains a family-run firm, now led by sixth-generation sisters Adriana and Beatriz Ochoa. Adriana is the winemaker and technical director, while Beatriz is CEO. Adriana now leads the winemaking, continuing the work of her father Javier, who took over the family winery in 1965 and remains central to its modern history.

The vineyards are located around the gorgeous medieval town of Olite and at Traibuenas. Ochoa’s roots in Olite date back to the 1840s, while the family began planting its vineyards at Traibuenas in 1992. Ochoa is particularly well known for its rosado wines, great-value reds and its work with Moscatel de Grano Menudo. The latter has long been one of the winery’s great experimental passions: Ochoa developed a pioneering R&D project around sweet Moscatel in the 1990s, and the grape remains an important part of the range today.
