9:15 a.m. Your driver-guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel in Avignon. Hit the road and travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned luxury vehicle for the gorgeous foothills of the Ventoux, scented by wild truffles and lavender.
10 a.m. Arrive at Chateau Pesquie, a noble and graceful 18th-century château considered one of the best wine producers in Southern France. Owned by the Chaudière family, this organic super-premium estate employs biodynamic winemaking practices. Enjoy a private tour and tasting of flagship wines on the highest end of their quality spectrum, including classic Rhône varietals. Afterward, enjoy some free time to shop, stroll, or sip and capture beautiful photos during this stop.
Noon – Next up is a sightseeing photo stop in the darling hamlet of Beaumes-de-Venise—free time to shop, stroll, or sip.
1 p.m. After a morning filled with touring and tasting, you’ll have worked up a hearty appetite. A sumptuous gastronomic delight in the form of a gourmet tasting menu with wine pairings awaits you at the Michelin-starred L’ Oustalet in the pretty hamlet of Gigondas. 3:30 p.m. After lunch, visit the friendly, family-run Montirius estate, a 15-minute drive down the road. This property has been run by five generations of the wine-growing Saurel family. You will taste the best examples of their Vacqueyras, Gigondas, and Côtes du Rhône wines.
