Winery Overview

Bodegas Emilio Moro is one of the best-known family wineries in Ribera del Duero, based in Pesquera de Duero in the heart of the region’s so-called Golden Mile. The estate is closely associated with Tinto Fino, Ribera del Duero’s local expression of Tempranillo, and with a family history that stretches back more than a century. The family owns vineyards in Pesquera de Duero, in the Ribera del Duero region, overlooking the Duero River at an elevation of 700 meters.

The modern winery was founded in 1987, although the Moro family’s viticultural roots reach much further back. Important family vineyards include Pago de Valderramiro, planted in 1924; Finca Resalso, planted in 1932; and Pago de Sanchomartín, planted in 1964. In 1989, the winery released its first labeled wine under the Ribera del Duero D.O., marking the beginning of its modern commercial chapter. In September 2001, the new winery was finished.
