    • Gourmet Lunch with wine
    • Luxury Chauffeur Driven Mercedes

Pick up this morning from either Granada or Málaga airport. Your luxurious chauffeur driven Mercedes awaits to transfer you in style to central Granada for a welcome lunch with an unbeatable view of the entrancing Alhambra Palace at Estrellas de San Nicolas. The prize view is matched with an as equally as impressive gastronomic experience; traditional Andalusian cuisine with a strong French inspiration. Such tantalizing treats might include Pan-fried Scallops, foie cream and pine nut Praline with a Pedro Ximenez reduction or Stewed Bull tail and sweet potato, garnished with oven-crisped violet potato wafer.

After lunch, stretch your legs on a relaxed walking tour with a local guide, of the Albaicin and Sacromonte. High up on the hill, the Albaicin quarter is where the Moorish past truly resonates. Narrow cobblestoned streets are lined with traditional white-wash stone houses, you can see the impressive Middle Aged water system as well as spectacular views over to the Alhambra. The splendid San Salvador church is built over a mosque and has a fascinating mix of architecture and features one of the many ancient water tanks. The beautiful Arab Baths are another historic architectural highlight. The pretty street Carrera del Darro, also one of the oldest streets in the neighborhood is full of cafés, Moroccan style tea shops, and street sellers. Then late afternoon your guide will lead you to one of the best local cafés to see the Alhambra in the golden sunset. The evening is yours to continue to explore this enchanting city by night with our suggestions or to relax in your delightful hotel, the Palacio de Patos.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before your own private guide will meet you to spend the morning at the Alhambra complex. Top on the list of most visited Spanish attractions and one of the best preserved Moorish medieval cities in the world, it is magical. Pass through wisteria and bougainvillea covered walkways, enjoy the endless pools, fish ponds, and ornate fountains. Admire the intricate mosaic walls, visit the “Cuarto Dorado”, literally the golden room. Take note of the grand cedar dome and thrones in the “Salón de Embajadores”, famed for being where King Boabdil signed the terms of surrender. Moving onto the Court of Lions situated within the Royal Palace, probably the most photographed feature – in the center of the patio is a charming fountain of 12 lions, each representing the hours of the day, months of the year and signs of the zodiac. Throughout you will be amazed by the intricate detail carved into the stonework, delicate and almost lacelike in appearance.

After such an inspiring morning you will settle into lunch, a casual spot with world cuisine and a dreamy view from the gorgeous terrace at la Ruta del Azafran. The Tuna in orange dressing with “salmorejo” (thick cold tomato soup), Apple and Goats Cheese Thousand-slices with Pedro Ximenex reduction or Cod fillet with toasted garlic and crunchy almond crust are some of our faves, washed down with fabulous local wines like Señorío de Nevada and Bodegas Jabalcón. Make the most of some free time after lunch to stroll, shop and sightsee. In the evening you have a treat in store at the Hammam Arabic Baths, relaxing and invigorating, the perfect finale to your day. Dinner on your own with our suggestions.

Then back to your hotel for some free time to relax and freshen up before dinner. You are in for a delicious treat this evening; a tasting menu of creative cuisine at Damasqueros. 4. Lapujarras - Granada

Alpujarras Wine Tour- Romantic El Claustro

    • 5* Palacio de Patos
    • Full Breakfast, Wine Tasting Lunch, Creative Dinner with wine
    • Luxury Chauffeur Driven Mercedes

An early start today to make the most of the wine country and the historic region of Las Alpujarras. Situated between the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the coast, in the foothills is the stunning and rural area of Las Alpujarras, once home to the outcasted Berbers, who farmed the fertile lands. Today it is still the unique micro-climate thanks to a continuous water supply from the snow-covered mountains, altitude and southern facing exposure making it a green oasis that attracts many for hiking, horse riding, and bird watching. You then have about a 90-minute drive to the wine country, so sit back and admire the sensational views. First stop is at Bodegas Nestares Rincon, enjoy an informative and interactive tour here. Discover in more detail why they are “proud to be different” – the high altitude (cold nights), high sun exposure and low rainfall allow for an unusually long ripening, which is very apparent in the resulting wines. Follow with a second wine tour at another favorite, Dominio Buenavista with a wide range of wines and a very charismatic owner host. This wonderful success story started as an experiment when owner Juan Palomar grafted Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay from The Napa Valley on local rootstock in 1994, so enamored with the results and feedback from family and friends, he later added Merlot and Cabernet Franc and by 1998 Bodega Dominio Buenavista was a commercial vineyard. Now producing internationally award-winning red, white, rosé, sparkling and dessert wines.

A Wine Tasting Lunch at Alquería de Morayma follows you will savor typical local dishes perfectly paired with more of the regions distinctive wines. Then carry on to one of the cutest villages in the region, Pampaneira. Free time for shopping, a coffee or a glass of wine – they have lovely rugs here. Finish the day in the darling hamlet of Capileira, for some great photo opportunities. Head back to Granada, quite a day, but it doesn’t end yet, freshen up and get ready for your Farewell Dinner at El Claustro! This is the perfect finale, the setting is heavenly; a monumental building in the heart of the historic center, a table on either the romantic terrace in the cloisters or in the striking refectory converted dining room set the scene for the exquisitely presented contemporary meal that awaits. Salud!

  5. Granada - Malaga
